Regional Assemblies
If you go down to the woods today you are in for a big surprise, especially if you take with you an EU map of Europe; but why would you, and so their secret is safe. If you did however and you looked at the British Isles you would find Scotland and Wales without difficulty but England has disappeared. Where England used to be you now have nine European Regions.
You might have thought, and that was what you were supposed to think, that when the North East voted in overwhelming numbers against a Regional Assembly that was the end of the matter. Not so. The North East already had an Assembly and still has. So have all nine.
The only one that is visible is the London Assembly and that is concealed because it is represented as being a replacement of the Greater London Council. That Assembly, like all nine, is in embryo responsible not to Westminster but to a Committee of the Regions in Brussels. That is the future form of the Government of the so called United Kingdom.
These Regional Assemblies are not elected. They consist of Councillors nominated by the local authorities in their area and in addition members appointed by such regional bodies as Water Boards, River Boards and the like. They collect expenses of course and according to reports entertain themselves quite lavishly They do not, except in London, have expensive. buildings but give them time.
So there is an additional tier of semi secret government. How is it funded? you might ask. Have you ever wondered why your council tax has gone up as it has? The answer is that these assemblies are funded by ‘subscriptions' paid by the local authorities in their area. Subscriptions they may be called but they are really transfers of taxpayers' money levied by one authority for its purposes and given to another for wholly different uses.
That is dishonest but there is nothing unusual about that in government. More seriously the whole purpose of this regional set up is to destroy England. English as a nationality has already disappeared from census forms and the like. Even more serious than that the representatives whom the public elect nationally and locally to serve their interests have been conniving behind their backs for almost half a century and bit by bit to destroy their country and to turn them into subservient subjects of a continental power. All this without their knowledge or consent. The second world war was fought to prevent precisely this.
In order to give these regional assemblies legal status, for they have none as constitutional bodies, they have been established as Limited Companies without capital. (Those versed in such matters can find articles of association etc by logging on to SEERA). This website is part of the deception. How could one object to such worthy aims?). You will observe that they have been given unlimited powers of borrowing and guess who pays the interest. It is reasonable to assume that this arrangement is standard region by region.
You may have noticed that not one of the three main parties now talks of Europe as an issue. There are those politicians who affect to be Eurosceptic in a vague sort of way but when they talk of being in Europe but not governed by Europe who can take them seriously. They all hope that Europe as it is to become will be the status quo and that people will not mind that they are no longer a free self governing sovereign nation owing no allegiance to anybody outside this realm and that their future will be decided by others.
By collusion between the parties the democratic voice is denied any expression. It is truly the post democratic era. Such expression as is left to it is exercised by ignoring elections. On May 3rd 2007 (admittedly a local election) the Conservative Party, which celebrated a great victory, polled 15.2% of the electorate and the Labour Party which did not do as badly as it said it expected polled 3.12%. The turnout was just 38%. There is no democratic legitimacy in such government.
Quite clearly the majority which could, if it would, make a difference just stay at home and let things slide. I doubt if there is a seat in Parliament which would be safe if the abstainers exerted themselves to oust those who have betrayed the public and abused their trust. They were elected to serve the public interest. They have served their own by creating a stairway to the stars all the way from the council offices to the European Commission and beyond for themselves and civil servants alike. The public are the victims of their ambition
The Regional Assemblies are an example of the deception and double dealing which has characterised the European project so called from the outset. How long will it be tolerated? |
